FREE 2025-26 Winter Ski Tuning Clinic Series at Start Haus
Join us at our brand new location for our ski clinics! Our lead technician, Brandon Sims, will take us through a series of separate clinics teaching multiple levels of tuning and maintenance. Covering all ends of the spectrum, the clinics will feature tuning basics, waxing, edging, advanced tuning and spring tuning. Our wax and edging specific clinics will be hosted on multiple dates, allowing a couple of opportunities to attend.

Intro to Ski & Board Tuning Basics

Discuss basic ski constructions and introduction to tuning techniques.

Wax Clinic

A clinic dedicated specifically to waxing. We will discuss different types of waxes, the techniques used to apply them, how to properly Iron wax and apply quick wax solutions.

Edge Clinic

A clinic dedicated specifically to maintaining edges. We will cover the difference between the base and side edges and demonstrate how to properly tune the edges using different files, diamonds and even some power tools.

Advanced Tuning

6 to 8pm at the Shop **2 hr clinic**
The most detailed clinic of the series! The Advanced Clinic will cover the full World Cup prep of a ski. Covering everything from the initial sidewall prep and edge sharpening to advanced race wax applications. This is a 2hr clinic, so bring a snack and prepare to immerse yourself into the world of Ski Race Tuning.

Spring Tuning - Inspection & Repair

6 to 7pm at the Shop
During the final installment in our Winter Tune Clinic Series we'll discuss caring for gear during the spring, inspecting equipment for damage, waxing for spring conditions (including summer camps) and end of season storage.
- Ski inspection for damage (edges, base, core delam ,bindings)
- Minor p-Tex repair
- Waxing for spring conditions
- End of season storage (storage wax and location)
