In ski racing and ski competition news, USSA Far West Skiing U10/U12 continues with the North Series at Squaw Valley on Feb 2-3, Divisional FIS for SR-U18 goes to Sugar Bowl Feb 2-4, and Tahoe League racing continues Feb 2-3 at Alpine Meadows.

Wax calls for the U14 racers heading to Mt. Shasta: The weather is unpredictable for the weekend. There will be some fresh snow. Use the Start Haus or Dominater Anti-stat of warm new snow or FG 88. Wax with low flouro red (Swix LF Red, Holmenkol Hybrid Red, Toko LF Red). Or to be safe, Dominator new snow zoom.

It's trade show season, and our backcountry guru Craig Dostie is in Utah at Outdoor Retailer checking out next year's coolest gear. Next weekend Jim Schaffner, Sierra Jim and Philpug will be hitting the SIA ski show in Colorado, so if there's any future gear your itching to learn more about, let us know and we'll try and get the scoop. Mike Nash, Sales

Mike comes from the competitive worlds of snowboard cross and motocross where he competed on a national level. He has since traded in his board for skis, but still rips it up on a moto all summer long. Mike is known for his excellent customer service, working with every customer to get exactly what they are looking for.
