The secret is out - Truckee has some amazing gravel biking on tap and the time to check it out is now! Our shop crew has been out scoping zones and layering on the base miles while we wait for higher elevation singletrack routes to melt out.

There are numerous mixed terrain routes that leave right from Start Haus' front door and serve to take riders on exploratory adventures that are chock full of car-free bike paths, tranquil fireroads, and even some stretches of mellow singletrack!

We are thrilled to announce Start Haus is now an official Ibis bike dealer!

Although we are heading into winter, and skiing is on the brain, we are already prepping for 2025 bike season. This spring we are excited to have a full stock of Ibis bikes at the shop ready to ride. Models like the Ripmo and Ripley feature balanced geometry, 29 and MX wheel options, internal storage and a variety of build options. What about eBikes you ask? Oh yeah they have that too. ICYMI the OSO won the design and innovation award in 2023.

Rad brakes a bit squishy? Yeah, our shop bike gets that way a few times a summer. A couple of quick fixes in the right spots, and you got solid braking power once more.

Most of us realize your bike chain needs oil, but few seem to get how to do it! Join us as Gregg turns a 5 minute procedure into a 15 minute video.

Why can't the price-point and mid-level bikes get some upgrades? Well, they can!

Throwing some tire inserts from ‪Tannus‬ on your commuter or fat tire bike can help save you from flats, just like it does for our gravity wielding, trail bashing, MTB cousins.
