Start Haus is pleased to announce a 2017 Speed Ski Leasing program!

Partnering with Blizzard (with more to come) our racers are now able to lease DH and SG skis for a fraction of the cost of owning a pair!  With so many racers needing a pair for just one or two events late in the season, the speed ski leasing program is the best way to grab a fresh and fast pair of SG or DH skis.

The following Blizzard skis are currently available for lease:

Down Hill Speed Skis in a 212cm and 218cm

Super G Speed Skis in a 185cm, 205cm, and 212cm.

Pricing starts at $125 for a day, $75 a day for 3-5 days, or $50 per day for a week lease.  These skis are ready to mount to your boot specs and tuned to your preferences. Contact us for more information!

Wild Belle

The Wild Belle is built on a 84mm waist width and uses a double wide, lightweight stringer down the center of the wood core. This is a ski that resides in the top performance group of Nordica’s flat deck “Belle” series of skis, but is just slightly softer in the tail than some the expert only models. This width range is ideal as an an all mountain tool for the woman with a bias toward packed snow but an occasional appetite for off trail use as well.

On snow this ski is lightning quick and very energetic showing a lot of rebound energy especially in short radius turns. A good skier can lay in big angles and arc turns like crazy but an intermediate will find this width range facilitates lower angle, skidded turns as well. The quick and light feel gives the skier an edge in bumps and the slightly

Here at Start Haus, we like building bikes.  So much so in fact, we've starting building up Tahoe dream bikes just for you.  Starting with a stock Giant bike, such as the Trance Advanced 2, we add and mod how we like to ride em.

First off, why keep all that extra weight on your crank?  With our custom built bikes, we like to git rid of the front derailleur and shifter hardware, swap out the cassette in conjunction with upgraded Shimano X1 components, add a RaceFace narrow wide chainring, thereby making an 11 by 1 drivetrain. But why stop there?!  We swap out the stock fork for one of our all time favorites, the Rock Shox Pike.  In either a 150mm or 160mm, the Pike is one killer fork.  Excellent damping, perfect travel, and amazing durability.

Beyond that, we might swap a stem, or throw on an upgraded wheelset like Stan's TR Flow's.  All this makes what we think is the perfect Tahoe trail bike.  Swing by and check it out!
